lgbtSr takes a break

Update October 29: As you can see from some continued posting, I haven’t abandoned the site. I just need some away time to focus on other things, including making a living. So … I will post things of interest here now and then. The heavier news flow is at the Facebook page, so check that out if you’re one of the 3,600 people who haven’t. And enjoy life! Time is a non-renwable resource that should be spent more wisely the less of it that remains.

I launched lgbtSr almost two year ago and have loved doing it. I’ve met some amazing people, interviewed icons and inspirations, and had a lot of fun along the way. But it is extremely time consuming and labor intensive. In a cost-benefit analysis, it’s just not giving a return on the tremendous number of hours I’ve continued to put into it.

At the same time, our Facebook page is alive and vibrant, and very easy to maintain. The Twitter feed sizzles. Our ‘Aged to Perfection’ podcasts are doing very well, with at least 500 listens a week and often twice that. Those will continue!  And for all I know I may get back to maintaining this site, possibly in the new year, but I’ve been doing it at the crack of dawn for a very long time and I need to take a break. Oh, and I’m going back to full time work, did I mention that?

I’m also focusing on the Kyle Callahan Mystery Series, with the first book, ‘Murder at Pride Lodge’, selling at a nice clip, getting good reviews, and demanding my attention with its own website and Facebook page.  Too much to do, too little time to do it!

I love all the readers, I appreciate your support, and hope you’ll check us at at Facebook and Blog Talk Radio if you haven’t yet.  The site will stay up, we’ve just gone fishin’ for a good long while. – Mark McNease/Editor
