Oz in Shreveport: Say Tea Please
Our name starts with a T. T for Tea. And I haven’t even begun to talk about the teas TWINE is ready to share with y’all. I have been busy planning for the best array of fine organic English teas and loose-leaf teas from the winner of 31 First Place Awards at the World Tea Championship for its Chinese and Japanese blends.
The teas I have selected for TWINE come form a lineage on both sides of the earth that dates back 500 years.
Thomas Twining opened Britain’s first known tea room at 216 Strand in 1706. Today, Roseann from Twinings stateside has introduced me to their new line of organic teas and incredibly tasty ice teas. Bobby from Rishi Tea Company in my town, Milwaukee, turned me on to Pu-erh, an ancient healing tea picked from 500-year-old organic wild tea trees in Yunnan, China. I am enjoying a cup of Orange Pu-erh this morning.inese and Japanese leaves.
Pu-erh undergoes a unique 60-day fermentation process resulting in a bold flavor with an abundance of healthy antioxidants. Holding its premium taste, studies in China and France show that Pu-erh can also reduce cholesterol, improve digestion and metabolism, and can aid and support healthy weight loss. The word is spreading. To see Pu-erh discussed recently by Dr. Oz, visit: www.doctoroz.com/videos/best-teas-weight-loss-pt-1, Then visit Twine, Tea & Wine on Line, at 1513 Line Avenue (garage parking!) after April 1st. We are here to blend and pour the right tea for you and your tastebuds!
