My husband and I share your pain as a same sex bi-national couple.
Our Families are in Europe and The U.S. therefore we must obey the law so we do not hinder our ability to travel and lead an honest law abiding life.
Because of DOMA we have placed ourselves in exile in Mexico. Mexico allows us to live together.
However our business is in the U.S. On an economic level we spend our money to live in Mexico that money does not go back into the U.S. economy and I no longer live in the U.S. so I will no longer pay state income tax.
So for those who could care less about how they are hurting same sex couples with discrimination.. think of how you are hurting the U.S. economy.
